MCL Employees Ratify Agreement

Edmonton—Employees of MCL Power Inc. working in the greater Edmonton area recently voted 91 percent in favour of accepting a new two-year collective agreement negotiated by Construction Workers Union, Local 63.

As of April 1, 2011, employees will receive a base wage rate increase of nearly three percent. MCL Power is a single-source electrical contractor currently working on a number of projects, including Epcor Tower, Southwest Recreational Centre, a new federal building, Edmonton International Airport, and the Fort Saskatchewan hospital.
