Link Employees Ratify New Agreement

Edmonton—Employees of Link Scaffold Services Inc. working in and around Edmonton recently voted 80 percent in favour of accepting a new collective agreement negotiated between Local 63 and the company. As of October 1, 2010, base wage rates increased by 3.8 percent for employees working outside of the Wood Buffalo region (Fort McMurray), with higher rates for those working in Wood Buffalo. All employees will receive an additional two percent increase in March 2011.

Local 63 members employed by Link build scaffolding on various construction projects, mostly industrial, in Alberta.
