Edmonton—The forty-six employees of JVD Energy Inc. working at two construction sites in Alberta recently voted eighty percent in favour of a new collective agreement negotiated between Construction Workers Union, Local 63, and the company.
CLAC and the company agreed to a base wage rate increase as of May 1, 2011, of two percent with an additional two percent increase in September.
JVD Energy is currently involved in construction at two pulp and paper mills near Grande Prairie and Boyle, Alberta.
