JJM Workers Ratify Agreement

Langley, BC—Following lengthy negotiations, Local 67 members employed by JJM Construction Ltd., based in Delta, ratified a new three-year agreement that provides wage increases of six percent over the term.

Improved overtime language, a night shift premium, and increases to benefit contributions were also negotiated.

“It was a long process that was a bit painful at times,” says Guy Grenier, a steward and member of the bargaining committee. “We worked through it and the guys are happy to have it settled.”
 
Established in 1988, JJM Construction is a premier construction company specializing in heavy civil, highway, bridge, dam, and marine construction, including environmental and navigational dredging. The company employs upward of 50 Local 67 members throughout the lower mainland and interior of the province.
