Jack Layton—Inspiring Politician, Strong Labour Advocate

CLAC expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jack Layton, leader of the Official Opposition and the New Democratic Party.

Layton was an inspiring politician who was a strong advocate of many causes that CLAC supported, including the rights of labour unions. We hope that all Canadians will take to heart his final words: “Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair.”
