Help a Child Smile Receives Donation from CLAC

Grimsby, ON—Help a Child Smile (HACS) received a $1,500 donation from CLAC as part of the union’s Building Communities Together program.
HACS is a charity that aims to bring joy to the lives of children with cancer being treated at McMaster Children’s hospital. It provides families with accommodations, parking passes, and food vouchers during hospital stays. It funds the Bravery Bead program, teen support groups, and bereavement counselling and offers many fun family adventures such as trips to Disneyland and other amusement parks.
Help a Child Smile was nominated by Denis Larocque, who is a CLAC member employed by ESSROC in Brantford.
