Ottawa—Employees of the Hartford Retirement Residence in Morrisburg, Ontario, recently voted unanimously in favour of accepting a tentative settlement to renew the collective agreement.
The 2-year agreement includes 4.5 percent in wage increases over the term of the agreement, full retro pay, a 1 percent matching RRSP contribution raise, amended uniform allowance, and improved language for sick leave and job posting provisions.
“We are pleased to have come to a voluntary agreement to renew this collective agreement,” says Brendan Kooy, CLAC eastern Ontario regional director. “We feel this meets the needs and objectives of our members, and also provides for a fair agreement for the company.”
