Greg Camlis Wins National Scholarship Award

Windsor, ON—Greg Camlis has won one of twelve $1,500 scholarships CLAC awards annually.

Greg is a member of Construction Workers Local 53, affiliated with CLAC, employed as an electrical apprentice by Windsor-based Lariviere Electric Ltd. He is in his third of a five-year electrical apprenticeship program and is preparing to take intermediate level trade school courses at St. Clair College this fall.

“It is great to have my union, co-workers, and employer support the success in my training,” says Greg. “The scholarship will certainly help me offset some of the costs of continuing education and help me progress in my career path as an electrician.”
