Garden Valley School Division Bus Drivers Ratify Agreement

Winnipeg—Bus drivers employed by the Garden Valley School Division have ratified their third collective agreement.

The drivers are members of Education, Service, and Health Care Union, Local 306.

Highlights of the two-year agreement include improved job security and sick and compassionate leave, bus driver participation in professional development planning, and competitive yearly wage increases.

“Negotiations with the division were open, honest, and productive,” says Derrick Martens, CLAC Manitoba representative. “We look forward to representing the bus drivers’ interests as we work with the division to review extra-curricular trip assignments.”
