Edmonton—Employees of Ledcor Alberta Limited's facility in Edmonton voted in favour of a new three-year collective agreement that will provide them with an average wage and benefit increase of just over eight percent in year one of the contract.
With the new contract, employees will be enrolled in the CLAC Pension Plan while maintaining their existing group RSPs. Combined with matching employer contributions, the agreement includes a three percent increase in overall pension contributions in year one of the renewed contract.
The employees, who are members of Construction Workers Union, Local 63, repair, service, and maintain heavy equipment for a number of Ledcor construction divisions.
