Langley, BC—Members of Construction and Allied Workers’ Union, Local 68, employed by Corrcoat Services Inc. in Surrey, BC, recently voted in favour of a three-year collective agreement that provides wage increases of six percent.
The new contract also provides a $150 boot allowance and improved vacation pay and employer-matched pension contributions for employees who have been with the company longer than five years.
Corrcoat is an industrial coating and lining firm providing both shop and field services to various industries. Currently, the 25 highly trained Local 68 members are painting the huge fuel storage tanks at Vancouver International Airport.
