Amanda Jones Wins Scholarship

Quinte West, ON—Amanda Jones has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship by CLAC as part of its scholarship program, which awards 12 scholarships annually to CLAC members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

Amanda is enrolled in the two-year RPN program at Loyalist College. Her scholastic career has been a bright one and she has been on the Dean’s Honour List since she began her courses. This summer, because she is part of a fast track program, Amanda is completing a work placement in both the surgery ward and the maternity ward at Belleville General Hospital.

Amanda’s father, Steve Jones, is an active member of the Eastern Volunteer Firefighters Association, Local 920, where he has served for seven years as the steward and on four occasions as a bargaining committee representative for the members at Fire Station #6 in Quinte West.
