A result of cooperative labour relations and joint funding, the CLAC Alberta Training Trust Fund runs training centres in Edmonton, Calgary, and Fort McMurray to provide for the training needs of members working in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Company-specific training committees develop programs geared to the needs of each company for its employees. Programs developed by one committee often result in modifications by others to fit their particular needs.
The Alberta training centres have also developed a comprehensive mobile as well as web-based training network to reach and train workers in remote regions.
