CLAC provides health benefit coverage for many union members and dependents through negotiated collective agreements. These health benefits are financed primarily through negotiated employer contributions. Employers and management staff also may be eligible to participate in the plans, provided the company's employees are covered.
The CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund is supervised by a board of trustees comprised of labour and management representatives. The western CLAC Benefit Administration office is located in Edmonton.
