12/15/09—Canonbie Employees Ratify New Agreement
Fort McMurray, Alberta—Local 63 members working for Canonbie Contracting Ltd. on the Suncor Firebag Stage 3 project ratified a new collective agreement. The new contract provides a five percent wage increase immediately with an additional two percent effective March 1, 2010. In addition to the wage increases, members will enjoy improved break periods and travel provisions.
