The Benefits of Unionization
Unions are an important and effective way to address issues in the workplace. The first step is to learn more about the benefits of unionism and of joining CLAC—the largest independent multi-sector union in Canada.
Organizing a Union at your Workplace
Let us help you and your co-workers develop a plan for quickly and effectively bringing CLAC into your workplace. The process is easy and guaranteed in law. We have over 55 years of experience bringing the values of cooperation, partnership, respect, integrity, and community to workplaces across the country. Let us put our resources at your disposal so we can get on with the important work of reconciliation and improvement for you and your co-workers.
Negotiating a Contract
Once CLAC has been certified to represent you and your co-workers, an experienced representative will work with your elected bargaining committee to negotiate a collective agreement with your employer and help you achieve your workplace goals.
Self-Employed Workers
CLAC understands that everyone needs a work community, including freelancers. A life of self-employment should not also be a life without advantages such as access to health benefits, social networking opportunities, promotions, and training. The Guild Network is an association for the self-employed—a work community dedicated to entrepreneurs.
